COVID-19 Testing & Services

Mobile Med has testing options for COVID-19 infections

Active Symptoms COVID-19 & Antibody Test: $135

These tests can determine if you are currently experiencing a COVID-19 infection.  Please be aware there are a considerable number of people who have experienced an asymptomatic infection, meaning some patients have experienced very mild (or even no) symptoms.  The COVID-19 nasal swab is meant to determine active infections, while the antibody test should determine if you have already had a COVID-19 infection and have developed antibodies in response to recovering from the virus.

Available only through a house call, Mobile Med will conduct a nasal swab to determine if you are having an active COVID-19 infection, or we can take a blood sample to conduct an antibody presence test, which will help determine a previous infection.   Mobile Med will have the nasal swab delivered to Core Bio Lab, for testing, and the blood sample will be sent to a Quest Diagnostic laboratory testing facility for analysis.  It will take 24-48 hours for nasal swab results and 24 hours for blood results to be completed, but Mobile Med will follow up with you to explain testing results and recommendations.

The Mobile Med provider will arrive wearing personal protective equipment and will provide you with instructions on how to minimize risk for you and your family.

Active COVID-19 & Antibody tests for each additional household member: $65

Additional Information:

The antibody test from Quest Diagnostics has been given emergency approval from the FDA.  At this time the FDA has not fully approved the test.

If testing determines you have an active COVID-19 infection Mobile Med will provide the results to the Center for Disease Control on your behalf.

Mobile Med can provide proof of testing results if requested by your employer.

The results of this test should not be used solely to alter your social distancing practices, federal and state guidelines should still be followed.  Further scientific studies are needed before we can determine the degree of immunity and the duration of protection.

Please contact a Mobile Med provider if you have any questions.
